The 1927 Ford Model T is considered to be the most inexpensive luxury car in history. The Ford model was dominant in the market for almost 2 decades. As a matter of fact, the 1927 Ford Model T was named as the car of the year in 1999. This model certainly marks its own standard, which is basically based on the 1908 Ford model. One of the major highlights of the 1927 Ford Model T is the 2-gear feature. Without a doubt, the 1927 Ford Model T definitely placed a milestone in the car industry despite of its lack of speed. It would be a privilege for you to have the Ford model as one of your vintage collections.
The 1950 GM Futurliner is one of the most priceless vintage cars that were built by the famous brand General Motors. Harley Earl designed the limited edition GM Futurliner where there were only 12 automobiles sold in the market at that time. In the year 2006, the 1950 GM Futurliner model was sold for a whopping $4 million. The Futurliner is often referred to as the Parade of Progress due to the fact that it was used in a popular tour exhibit exclusively in the United States. The exhibit showcased new cars and technology where it traveled around the US in the past.
Meanwhile, the 1952 Bentley Continental R was known as one of the most expensive luxury cars in the 50’s era. The Bentley Continental R was first introduced in the event called the London Motor Show. There were at least 200 units sold for upper class market at that time. The major highlights of the 1952 Bentley Continental R are the so-called leaf spring and an independent wishbone suspension. These features are able to provide a considerable speed of 160km/h.
The 1953 Aston Martin DB2 is one the major car brands in the early 50s. This model was purposely built to replace its predecessor called the Aston Martin 2L sports car. The main upgrade of the Aston Martin DB2 is the dual overhead straight 6-engine, which is larger, compared to the previous model. The production of the Aston Martin DB2 model lasts for only 3 years but it was recognized as the foundation of the future car models that we have today.
The 1964 Porsche 911 became an inspiration for many game developers in this modern generation. The Porsche 911 has several features including the air-cooled rear mounted engine, a 2-seater model car, a 5-speed manual transmission and much bigger size compared to the Porsche 356 model.

Since the Concept One, the New Beetle was introduced some time in 1994, more and more retro cars have come along as years go buy. Does this mean that retro cars are here to stay? Will they come running on the streets once more and make people awe in wonder? Or will they ever dominate the streets again to give the feeling of the good old days coming back to life?

Whatever you may want to think, retro cars are expected to increase in numbers as years go by. The New Beetle was actually the very first one and at the start of 1998, more and more car manufacturers have joined the bandwagon of other manufacturers who take time creating retro cars with the hope to get similar success the Concept One had.

In fact, many of these manufacturers expect to overpass the success rate achieved by the Concept One edition. However, even when these manufacturers have sued the same formula as the New Beetle, very few of these cars have stood out the test of time.

There are two more types of retro cars which are now creating big buzzes in the market today and the first one is the Fiat 500. This car is actually based and copied from the original version known as the Nuova 500 which became so popular during the 1950s. This car has really become a hero in Europe and Italy. Fiat 500 gives full respect to the “The New Beetle formula”..

The Fiat 500 is based on a platform from a more affordable model. The two have nothing in common to show except for their overall designs. This gives you the idea what really works when it comes to making retro cars.

Another retro car that deserves attention is the MINI or the New Mini. This retro car model is now considered as one of the prides of BMW and almost got its way to disrespecting New 500 and New Beetle formula.

The Mini launched in 2001 to a whole new platform with private parts almost not to be seen in other cars. The engine was bought from Chrysler but the overall platform was not based but from any other types of existing car platforms these days.

There are more New Generation retro cars which are expected to come out this year and in the coming years as this is really the era where ‘retro-futurism’ is at its peak. Retro cars are really here to stay!

It is said that the past will remain classic as it is. However, without encountering the classic designs, we will not appreciate modern cars we see today. To others, they cast retro cars out of the blue, but to those who perceive the old Ford Mustang and vintage VW Bug as a luxury 1970s icon, they can tell stories a lot better than car specialist.

The fact that old car phases out from today’s leading automobile, the value of its existence as a classy piece still remains intact. Modifying car speculations by means of bringing the old fashion into a new drift redefines vehicular character to a lucrative taste. With the help of computer programs and other automobile technological tools in service centers, you can translate an old collector’s icon to an authentic stylish car.

For every retro car you regenerate, you are already brushing the dust off the hood and getting ready for a groom up. Here are retro car models that outsource the best retro-modern cars in the industry today:

Remember the old Chrysler 300 you see in your dad’s garage? This time the old joy of coupe Chrysler curve elements has change into an elegant sharp edge SRT-8 model. Imagine how the innovative 1955 Chrysler 300 pictures the old American title with a V8 engine running 300 horsepower. Today, the Chrysler 300 is still eminent for its V6 component and high-class horsepower in modern-day Chrysler.
Even older than the 300 version is the PT Cruiser when retro style began from a typical sedan delivery automobiles in the early 1940s. Similar to the mechanics and exterior of the Volkswagen New Beetle, PT Cruiser is exclusively made for a true purpose. The market fleets to a convertible type that maximizes space and coziness. The standard engine gives a 2.4-liter cylinder that can produce 150 of horsepower. The turbocharged GT model gave a desiring 215 horsepower for a 2003 edition.

The Chevy is truly an irresistible classic vehicle back in the 1960s when their first hybrid was born. The Camaro model took its caption until the fourth generation. To elaborate further, the concept of the vehicle manifests hooded headlamps, broad creased shoulders, dual outlets and triangular rear windows. From then, Chevrolet welcomes the Z28 design. Equipped with 400 horsepower, 6-liter V8 and an Active Fuel Management, the Camaro is geared up to dodge the highway.

One of the ultimate Chevrolet retro-modern concept that car enthusiast misunderstood is the Heritage High Roof model. Based on the 1949 Suburban icon, the automobile blasts a 4-cylinder engine and front-wheel drive. Adhere to the latest edition, engines are specified through the Ecotec L6114 producing at 2.2 liters and the 2.0 liter of 14 turbocharged Ecotec LNF.

Barrett-Jackson, the famous Auction Company has launched the biggest classic car auction and had managed to draw bigger crowd compared to the previous year despite assessment of declining interest in classic retro cars.
Eight extremely rare cars were offered in its annual extravagance held in Scottsdale Arizona. A few years ago, the auction company has sold the OLDMOBILE L88 for a surprising price of 3 million dollars. Now 1954 Desoto Adventurer II Coupe is predicted to get more than the rare vintage Oldsmobile, as Desoto is as rare as they come.
The Desoto Adventurer was built by Ghia on the classic Chrysler Imperial Chassis using a Hemi engine. The car was built revolving around the concept of one of one car model. It was first owned by Morocco’s King Mohammed V.
Craig Jackson, acting chief executive of Barrett-Jackson said that the auction is expected to draw a big number of retro cars fans and note that General Motors has strong followers.
Classic cars to be auctioned include the Bentley car model built by the Franey, a French car firm. It carries the big and swooping fenders and the dramatic lines and the body that spells what’s like during the French time. Only three of this car was produced and each is distinct from each other.
Also expected to fetch high price is the 1948 Tucker Torpedo, one of the only 51 car models produced before the Tucker company closed shop in 1949. This is one of the 47-surviving models with rear-engine with disc brakes and fuel injection. Its padded dashboard is what makes this car a rare find even in its heyday.
Other gorgeous cars that have attracted attention are the Model Dueseberg J Murphy Town Car 1930); the first owner was American Tobacco Company founder J.B. Duke’s widow; Nanaline Duke; Isotta Fraschini Tipo 8A Roadster (1930); a Cabriolet model that was first shown at the Commodore Hotel New York and has created quite a sensation during that time when ten more of this kind was built carrying the tag Commodore. The car in the auction has the body made by Castagna of Milan and the original car.
Craig Jackson commented that restoration begun years ago but the woks still command adoring looks. He also added that this type of car has not been sold and hopes that in the near future, they will sell one or more. He also added that 1957 Desoto Adventurer is the top collector’s favorite and difficult and expensive to restore.
Barrett-Jackson Auction Extravagance is held annually showing off rare and vintage cars. It is a much-awaited event most especially for car collectors and retro cars fans all over the world.

The retro show will feature many different events that will surely make the day big, exciting, and unforgettable.

RETRO VEHICLES

Retro vehicles are a reminder for contemporary drivers about the difficult and endless history of car construction. They were like trailblazers that highlighted engineer’s mistakes and misleads. For almost 100 years the cars became not only a mean of transportation but an essential part of human being. It is very important to keep such retro vehicles as long as possible. Small groups of enthusiasts recover retro cars giving them a second live. Like endangered species come Back from the Brink, retro cars appear on our roads. Sometimes they look weird in a present day environment, but anyway those car species should continue existing and bring happiness for their owners.

Retro or classic cars are vehicles that take their styling cues from cars built a generation or two ago. These vehicles aren’t carbon copies of earlier models; rather each retro car borrows much of their look from earlier models. The word vintage is used to describe a lot of things. Quite often it is just used in reference to something that is old or antique. When it comes to defining a vintage car, it is not always so cut and dried. Many people have very conflicting opinions on this and though everyone is entitled to their opinion, they can’t all be right. A classic car is really a generic term that can cover many types of cars worthy of being considered as “collectable”. These cars were the product of experimentation and innovation that brought major advancements in comfort, safety and durability, decorated with luxury chrome accessories.

There are just as many reasons for owning a classic car as there are classic car owners. Some see it as an investment, others get a feeling of nostalgia, and many believe that their particular classic makes a personal statement about who they are. If you’re like any other classic car owner, your retro car is your pride and joy, so when it comes to storing your vehicle away for extended periods, you want to make sure that you do it correctly. Follow the basic secure car storage tips to make sure your vehicle stays in appropriate condition while it’s kept off-road. Owning a classic car requires a bit more time, knowledge and upkeep than newer cars, but it is much more fun it is definitely worth it. With proper maintenance, insurance and theft protection, you’ll be enjoying your investment for a long time.

Buying a classic or collector car requires quite a bit more homework than buying a new or used car. Finding the car is the hardest part of the classic car purchase. There are no warranties, the manufacturer may no longer be in business and replacement parts may be difficult to find. You have to completely inspect any car before you can determine its value. You need to put together some helpful information that will ensure you purchase the car of your dreams rather than be stuck with a total nightmare.

It is especially important to keep on top of the maintenance with a retro vehicle, as older cars are more susceptible to problems due to their age. While you may be able to get your car onto the road, you will more than likely run into trouble sooner or later if you do not have it properly serviced on an annual basis. When you are taking a retro car for a service, it is a good idea to go to a garage that specializes in servicing vintage cars, as they will have specialist know how and better access to retro car accessories and parts for older vehicles. If you haven’t already done so, you should join your local vintage car club, as this will allow you to meet other retro car owners and enthusiasts who may be able to recommend a good garage or mechanic in your area. While it is important to have your car serviced by a qualified professional at least once a year, you will still need to perform some basic maintenance yourself.

Restoration of any kind is an exceptionally difficult and time consuming job. It certainly does have benefits though. The restoration of a vintage car demands plenty of commitment and perseverance. For an interior upgrade you may use a one of the nice Wood Dash Kits, that will add a personal touch to the style of your car. It is a long task that could take years to complete so you certainly must have a lot of staying power. This is the type of job that is perfect for a small group or a pair of friends to do together. Having more hands could help the job significantly as it will achieve more in far less time. There is a lot involved in the restoration of vintage cars but it is not without rewards.
